Just went by this place the other day and it appears to have been shut down. I shopped there several times, including for all the FLOR carpet tiles in my house, and thought they'd do really well.

However, one woman who worked there (Karen, I believe) was the rudest b---- I've ever dealt with. I think she was second in command. Whether I phoned or went there in person, she always gave me and anyone I was with major tude, despite the hundreds of dollars I spent there. It made me want to spend more money elsewhere just to not have to deal with her. Maybe a lot of other people felt that way too and that's why their doors are locked. Hopefully she reads this and takes a hint for her future career...]]>

This looks like a great company with a great store. I truly wish them all the best. I am greatly saddened, however, by their marketing/design department. My architecture firm was founded in 2005 in the U.S. It's called Green Design Studio. Our tagline is 'architecture for life' We are responsible for the first LEED gold certified home in New England, our web adress is www.architectureforlife.com This is mostly because www.greendesignstudio.com was reserved (though not used at the time) by Eco-Agora a company that provides a service JUST LIKE this company. Their web address was active before their canadian counterpart's adress was however.

This begs the question? Are these guys creative? or are they just good at copying?

Of course this could be all a coincidence. I mean when I named my company, I didn't expect to be the ONLY Green Design Studio in North America, but when they go and add the sustainable styles for life part... Don't get me wrong I harbor them no ill will. In fact, if we actually knew each other, we'd probably get along splendidly, and perhaps even work together (Of course their name makes that impossible) it's just that as a designer myself, I get my feathers ruffled easily over stuff like this. (especially when they don't return my emails)]]>

I really like the concept behind the store, and the products it offers. I have passed on this link to our interior designers and architect for their viewing, and to provide them with some 'green' options to decorating the common areas in our upcoming construction projects.]]>
