Just for the sake of accuracy, Nikki Yanofsky is 14, and absolutely sensational.]]>

RE: Loblaw's ownership and plans for Maple Leaf Gardens.

I just walked past the Gardens yesterday. Where once there were signs announcing the (eventual) opening of a Canadian Superstore, there are now none.
Chances are all work was stopped when the company had to reassess the market after posting several quarter losses, but can anyone confirm this one way or another?
I hate seeing that building left like that.]]>

This is pretty awesome, if only for indicating that the Garden is still alive. I assumed that the life safety systems, washrooms, HVAC and the rest of the guts of the building went offline years ago and that the building was not habitable. If they are still up to code and able to function as a building it certainly means that anything is still possible for adaptive re-use. Go Gardens!]]>
