I don't understand why these schools with pools cannot be made into some form or another of after-hours community centre, with adult education classes and physical programs being made available.
Would this not make these pools more viable?]]>

Dave, your point is a great one too. thugs don't follow the rules, that's what makes them thugs. so yes, they'll still smuggle guns in.

but what stricter gun control will do will make it tougher for them to steal guns from collectors - there have been too many incidents of that nature in recent years. and a lot of those guns have been traced to the violence in the streets.]]>

@Jay, go fuck yourself. it's easy to be a big swinging dick online isn't it?

that not coincidentally, is part of the problem with guns. they give Viagra candidates like yourself an equal playing field to assert your lost manhood.

my point was that the whole "guns don't kill people..." argument is horseshit.

but as long as guns are available it'll mean that little old ladies like yourself won't clutch their purse and cross the street when they encounter dudes like me.

the great equalizer.]]>

I don't think Rbeezy was saying that - I think he meant that we wouldn't be joking about gun regulations if we knew someone who's been shot (I think he's on your side).

I joke about the gun regulations and bans because the people who murder, shoot into crowds, whatever, are already breaking laws - they aren't afraid to commit a horrendous offence like murdering someone, so why should they care that they smuggle, buy illegal guns, etc? Heck, if someone really wants to kill someone badly enough they don't need to use a gun.]]>

sorry to here that Dave. was it the result of gun violence?

I would surmise that less guns in our urban society lessens the chance of any such incident.

I've been touched peripherally by a lot of gun violence, including the death of Jordan Manners. none of it makes sense to me. other than law enforcement and sport (non-hunt) shooting, I don't think there's a valid reason for any Torontonian to have a gun.]]>

That should be reported as child abuse re the 9-year old bikini wax. I challenge anyone to provide valid points about how any parent that would be thinking about the sexual appeal of their 9-year old daughter is emotionally troubled enough to not be in a condition to raise a healthy child. Sad thing, it's probably already too late.]]>

I'm sorry, a bikini wax for any girl under the age of 14 or even 13 years is not right. They aren't fully developed yet! Parents who force their children, rather than just discuss options for hair removal (if the kid even chooses that!) are perpetuating horrible stereotypes, not to mention shooting down their child's self-esteem. Yeesh. It's just not right.]]>

Why is anyone concerned about how a 9 year old's crotch looks like? I mean seriously - who are they looking to impress?

Perverts will no doubt be happy about this news...

@Sean: I second your opinion, all we need is a well researched and fully funded study to prove that the majority of illegal guns are found in homes and Mayor Miller will be quick to declare a War on Homes (that is... if he can get past Mike Holmes)]]>
