Hey Chris, I think you answered your own question in your first paragraph... The program is supposed to show you the most likely person to win who would counter, in your case, Harper. As you mention, Tonks is likely to retain his seat.]]>

Hey Franke,

I don't get the system used to recommend a vote to me based on my riding. Here, the Tonks Dynasty is very securely attached in the area and even though he shows up at debates to fumble explanations about living out-of-area while looking like Count Dracula, odds are good he'll remain the MP.
The NDP is in second, and the Conservative candidate is running a sign-and-not-heard campaign of hiding until after the election and then going back to his day job.

It was suggested that in order to vote against Harper, I vote for Tonks. Why not the NDP? Considering this riding is a Lib/NDP split and either would achieve the goal of keeping the Cons from taking it, the Tonks suggestion winds up being partisan and it looks to me like maybe arbitrarily so?]]>

Joshua,

Thanks for telling BlogTO readers how they can 'beat the crap' out of the party leaders at WhackthePM.ca

This is serious stuff... Next week -- the day after the election -- I'm being grilled on Whack the PM's ability to predict the biggest loser. Can we go 3 for 3? Please, get your mallets ready and vote now!

Cheers and thanks!
