The original Queen's Printer was at Yonge and Shuter where Pier 1 Imports is now.

The bookshop occupied the entire ground floor and half the basement.  It was in every sense of the word a bookstore.
This store on University is a pale comparison.  Mulroney was the one who got rid of the Queen's Printer and that spelled the end of an excellent government printing publishing empire.
