Bloordale is fast becoming the newest art district in Toronto with three new art galleries opening recently and hopefully more on the way. I'm happy to see a positive change in a neighbourhood that has been grief stricken with so much unnecessary negative publicity in the past. This is an area where the streets are filled with hardworking, friendly people with families. The area Is quickly revitalizing due to the many new art galleries, the new film studio and the newly constructed condominiums. An article worth reading in the National Post by Leah Sandals published on November 22, 2008 describes Bloordale Village "as well on its way to becoming gallery central". Honestly, I'm thrilled to see an area where I grew up and still frequently visit today becoming a trendy and notable area and I'm looking forward to seeing the changes.
