The top 6 women's activewear stores in Toronto

The top women's activewear stores in Toronto will help you to amp up your gym game. Forget hitting GoodLife or sporting events in a ratty t-shirt and opt for something a little more stylish instead. These shops offer a host of styles and colours that'll have you excited for your workout.

Here are my picks for the top women's activewear stores in Toronto.

Ardith
Committed to staying stylish even when your sweating up a storm? This Roncy shop has got your back. Instead of flashy neon gear, you'll find streamlined, minimalist sportswear that could easily be a part of your day-to-day wardrobe (Athliesure is still cool, guys).

Nuvango
If you use the gym as an outlet to experiment with bold colours and patterns, then Nuvango will be right up your alley. Its racks are filled with some of the boldest pieces of spandex in the city - in fact, neon seems like a prerequisite for inclusion here. While leggings seem to be the top-seller, the store also sells a number of gym-appropriate graphic tees and tanks.

Lululemon
When it comes to activewear stores, Lululemon is probably the first to come to mind. While the prices are a far cry from Forever 21, the quality is infinitely better (meaning that the pieces will withstand more than five trips to the washing machine). Of course, if you're a Beyonce fan, you should probably swap your Lulu duds for Ivy Park.

flow-active
This Bloor West Village shop carries eco-friendly and ethical pieces ideal for running, yoga or pilates. Its hangers tout cut out leggings, brightly coloured tanks and everything in between. Most items are designed by Canadian brands, so if you crave labels like Nike, Adidas or Puma go elsewhere.

Lolё
If your go-to workout is either pilates or yoga, stopping by Lolё is a must. The shop carries stretchable styles conducive to downward dogs, planks and bows in every colour under the sun. The shop also stocks yoga mats, water bottles and gym bags - if you're in the market for some new accessories. Note: if you can't make it to Yorkville, a select few pieces are sold at The Bay.

Titika Active Couture
Titika Active Couture is a Toronto-born brand, so naturally it's a found a home on Queen West. The shop sells pieces of all different styles, from basic black leggings to pants with mesh cut-outs and busy patterns.
