Wow, people are still starting magazines? I applaud their optimism. Also, as an "assistant manger", Derek must be very busy helping out with all those nativity scenes this time of year. It must get uncomfortable.

Rebel's great.. pop up flash on it (or any other camera) isn't..

Clearly you don't know what your talking about. There's too much flash output for that to be a pop up flash let alone on a rebel.

If you take a look at each image and look at the lamp in the background. Now take a look at that table and the shadow it's producing. This is an area, where light cannot be reached from the flash and thus is considered the ambient exposure.

You can see this is a dark space - with zero detail. This means that all the shadow information has been clipped. (Not in the 5 1/3 stop EXP range) What does this tell you? That the entire scene is lit by one flash - not perfect, but a pretty good job considering the lighting situation in the space.

There are a lot of people who think they know everything about photography.. and really they don't. I don't know everything either, I'm always learning too Sean.
