LG Fashion Week Day 1 Roundup
LG Fashion Week debuted yesterday at the AGO and the new tents on King West with Sunny Fong and Shakespearean influenced fashion. We've been posting photos and videos to our special Toronto Fashion Week section so be sure to check there regularly for the latest updates. Here's what we've posted so far:
- Photos and a write-up of the Opening Night Gala featuring tons of over-clothed and under-clothed models wearing all sorts of frilly things.
- A video and photos of VAWK by Sunny Fong at the AGO.
- Our smackdown, er, photos of Fashion Week lovers and haters colliding at the Holt Renfrew Media Cocktail party.
- Video from backstage and the runway of 100 Years of Beauty by L'Oreal Paris.
- A video interview with Sunny Fong.

I was wondering what those tents were all about, seeing them every morning on my way to work. Sunny Fong is such a flexible designer! I loved the dresses he made for the 2009 White Cashmere Collection: http://www.cashmere.ca/wcc/english/2009.php Keep em coming Sunny!
Watched this event from home across the street. There may have been a lot of talent there, but it means nothing when it's shown to a bunch of wankers at a wanker-fest. Plus, while it's nice to see the derelict car dealership used for something, why didn't the organizers have to canvass the area like a film shoot would have to? No one needs a spotlight whizzing by their window to remind them the lamest people in the city are right outside, the vibe is already strong enough. And finally people.... since when did a fashion event mean the decor HAS to be evergreen bushes and white vinyl furniture? *YAWN*
