The Shop Crawl: January 16 - 24, 2008

Posted by Anita / January 16, 2008

20071019_BalenciagaNYC.jpgCan you tell it's the party season? Welcome to a late edition of The Shop Crawl, the weekly post where I provide you with a listing of sales for the week. The crawl covers retail, warehouse and sample sales.

This time of year is pretty barren for sample and warehouse sales. It's hard to compete when retail is in a sales blitz right now. However, there are some sales starting today. So I return with The Shop Crawl at an unusually scheduled time. I will return to my regular Fridays next week.

Big news this season is that the Toronto Lululemon warehouse sale will not be talking place in Toronto in 2008.. You'll have to drive to Ottawa to get your fix.

Update: A reader writes in to let me know about The Fresh Collective Winter Sale where most items are up to 20% off.

I don't like Lulu but I'm sad that the sale isn't happening. Who am I going to laugh at for standing in line for hours in sub zero temperatures.

JR,
My suggestion would be to go the custom or made to measure route. Yes, it's pricey but at least things will be made to fit you without sacrificing the design of the garment. I did a quick search and found these places that might help you out.

thanks for the help Anita, but im really not willing to pay for a custom garment just yet. Thus, i find myself going back to your shop crawl section a.k.a. the sale postings of the site.
decided to order online for the Peacoat. found a nice tight fitting one from a Japanese site.
