Architecture month in TO

May is Architecture month in the city. You're not likely to miss it with all the promotion and hype this year, but if you want to get a head start on your plans, these are 2 major events you must see:

Design Exchange is celebrating the month with You Design -- a series of architectural exhibits. One such exhibit is "Stealing Beauty" (curated by TorStar writer Christopher Hume) which looks at some budget-wise architecture that is fuctional yet attractive.

Doors Open is back once again this year, opening the doors, rooms, roofs, basements and back garages of a long list of interesting buildings. From the CBC Broadcast Ctr to the Flatiron Building, this is your ticket to get into the buildings that are usually off-limits. Visit the D.O. site for listings or pick up a copy of the Toronto Star special pull-out section on Thursday, May 19th.
