20081225_BoxingDay2008.jpgBoxing Day is always busy at my personal blog I want - I got. This year I decided to email as many stores as I could find about their boxing day sales. This list is a result of that work. I thought I would share this list with the blogTO community as some of you might not visit I want - I got on a regular basis.

Some sales continue past Boxing Day and others don't, they are noted. If the store has unusual hours they will be included, otherwise assume regular store hours.

Great ready for the list in no particular order. Happy Shopping

EDIT: There was a suggestion for a Google Map mashup and amazingly my friends at HyperGraphik Design created one for me.

Toronto Fashion WeekWhile the web site still says L'Oreal, Toronto's twice annual fashion week is changing its name. Yesterday the Fashion Design Council of Canada announced that LG will be the new title sponsor. That means it's time to throw away the tents, all the signs and create a new online presence to usher in LG Fashion Week which, incidentally, will still be chaired by one of Toronto's most famous drunks - Robin Kay.

Ministry of the Interior Pop UpFresh off their second pop up store at the corner of Dupont and Davenport, Ossington's Ministry of the Interior is inching even closer to the moneyed set.

Josephine And The Fantasy Collection, a collection of works by celebrity designer Jaime Hayon, is now filling up a narrow space in Yorkville at 162 Cumberland across from The Four Seasons. Inside are intricate porcelain creations that would fit in perfectly as set pieces in a Guillermo del Toro film. There are also some of his amazing lights and Camper shoes. They'll all be on display (and for sale) until December 14th.

It's fun to see stuff like this liven up what otherwise is a pretty predictable street for shopping. And it makes for a good diversion before catching Milk at the Cumberland across the street.

Crafternoon TeaThere's tea and then there's Crafternoon Tea. This Saturday, Leslieville's Nathalie-Roze & Co is getting its tea and craft on with a charity event that combines crafty fashion market with perfect-for-a-cold-day tea party. It's recession proof shopping with an indie twist. Nothing will be over $50 and there will be lots of eco-friendly stuff (many made by local designers) that is original, quirky and pretty much impossible to find anywhere else.

But it's not just about shopping. It's about creating. There will be DIY workshops all day including 1-inch button making, paper crafts, felting and an earring bonanza. And tea. Lots of tea.

Cry Wolf ClothingThe fashion world isn't an easy business, especially when you're a couple of independent designers operating out of your basements in Richmond Hill. But recent art and design school grads Rose Chang and Stephanie Drabik are giving it their best shot with Cry Wolf, a t-shirt company that launched in September.

With the oh-so-important holiday shopping season now upon us, the duo have just unveiled a kids t-shirt line and are offering free shipping on all web-based orders over $10. Amidst all the madness the two of them took some time out of their day to fill me in on all the need to know Cry Wolf details. Our short Q&A follows:
