Studio 1098 TorontoStudio 1098 might gets its name from its address on Yonge Street, but inside the jewellery boutique is a lot more than a round number. The main attraction here is the high quality custom jewellery including engagement rings, wedding bands, necklaces and more.

Pretty cool stuff! Very high quality and just different enough to be more interesting than the usual jewelry store finds.

I took a precious stone to studio 1098 and wanted it made into a piece I could wear. Tamara suggested a pendant necklace. What I really liked about working with Studio 1098 was that they helped me learn what was possible and most likely to look best. The work was done more quickly than I expected and the necklace is a stunner. Highly recommended.

Kathryn Dieroff and Tamara Kronis do it right at 1098 Yonge Street north of Rosedale. Take your pick of independent coffee shop or starbucks for a latte, and then let Tamara and Kathryn set your give life to your imagination. Genuinely beautiful craftsmanship and design, it's all about custom here. And these ladies know what they are talking about. My fiance Lisa and I just completed a ring project whereby Tamara and Katheryn incorporated pieces of a rock that Lisa gave me on our first date. We brainstormed and created the engagement ring as well as our wedding bands. Thinking about the 'how to' in this process could have been overwhelming but the professionalism and personalities of Tamara and Katheryn made the whole thing fun. Lisa and I are so happy to have met them at the One of A Kind Show last winter and couldn't have imagined how happy we would be with the final project. I encourage all the future husbands out there to really consider creating a custom engagement ring or talking with their partner about custom wedding band sets as it's not only about the final product but rather the experience the rings evoke when you look at them. It ends up being a great conversation piece where you not only have a great story but you've learned something as well.

Tamara and Kathryn make shopping for gifts so easy. They have a beautiful selection of custom made jewellery for a wide range of prices and with their assitance, I never fail to find something that pleases everyone.

The bottom line: Tamara and Kathryn do beautiful work and they make it easy for my boyfriend to shop for my gifts. 2 stories: After giving me a man's heirloom antique rose gold signet ring as a gift my boyfriend and I visited Tamara to see if it could be modernized and feminized. Her inspired redesign made it coordinate with a ring I currently wear so now I wear them stacked - and they look fabulous! Studio 1098 was also the destination for my 2010 Christmas gift. Boyfriend loved looking at all the tools and equipment in the studio (kilns! blow torches! grinders!) and felt really comfortable with Tamara's helpful guidance during our visit. I came away with bling and he looked like a rockstar. Already planning our Christmas 2011 visit :-)

I was sent to Katherine and Tamara by a friend. I needed to find a jeweller that could custom build a ring. Not your typical engagement ring. I was pretty sceptical at first on how close they would be able to match the design. Studio 1098 not only nailed it they made suggestions that improved the design and made an antique design look more modern. The whole process was easy and very memorable. My now fiancé absolutely loves her unique one of a kind ring. Can't say enough about these two ladies! Thanks for making an idea a reality!
