Specs & Specs has been on Queen West for 16 years and selling fashion forward frames to hipsters since grunge still sold records. Their selection of labels avoids the obvious - names like Francois Pinton and ProDesign are featured - and prices are very reasonable, ranging from $150 to $300.

This Chinese owned optical retail store is highly over rated and I'm sure most of the positive comments related to this place of business were written by close friends of Mr. Chui.
First of all, there's not a huge selection of glasses and the bulk of they're inventory consists of cheap quality glasses which lend hand to one having to purchase a designer caliber of brand to ensure lasting quality.$$$
Second, beware of leaving deposits with these people!!! If there is ever any last minute, legitimate decisions to withdraw from a potential purchase for one reason or another, they will never refund you're deposit.
We foolishly left a 50% deposit for a pair of 'no name' brand glasses only to discover early the next day, we could have obtained a designer brand for a much cheaper price!!! With diplomacy, we politely asked for only 75% of our deposit back and Mr.Chui gave us every lie ridden excuse under the sun as to why this wasn't possible.
Its easy to pin point a liar when they're hands tremble and they're eyes become shifty as did Mr. Chui's after our more than reasonable financial gift for doing absolutely nothing. This individual is solely consumed with the preoccupation of generating profit for himself while holding little regard for his customers and they're hard earned money.
Please folks, I highly recommend you shop elsewhere for you're glasses and never do business with this two bit, lying thief and his fancy flea market.
P.S - Please don't be deceived by his all female staff; although they conduct themselves in a friendly, professional manor, they are under his direct command and abide in his corrupt direction.
