The clothes here are fantastic but watch out for the poisonous little shop assistant. I spent nearly an hour in Indiva reviewing items to add to my contemporary textile collection only to have him come over and it was "OKaaaaay to look at my clothes - and even to check the prices" but would I make sure I put the tags back inside facing the right way so he didn't have to do it.

I walked out. So much for customer service!

I have purchased two fabulous pieces at Diva's in past 4 years. The reason I have not had to go back annually, is because both are stunning and timeless. These are pieces for special occasions and are TOTALLY elegant and unique. I am very fussy about the material doing most of the talking (not the shiny sparkly bits); subtly stylish without being "show offy". I am half south asian so I am particular about not coming off as a poser. These pieces have been lent to friends of all types, all of whom looked stunning and felt very comfortable in this "east meets west" look. The pieces I purchased were not cheap, but are definitely worthwhile investments in their long-term "wearability" by virtue of the fact that they cannot be pegged as a trendy "fly by night". Actually, I am drooling for another fabulous piece, so I will make time to pop into TO for a visit to see what they have to choose from!! PS, I read in another review that this place caters to the under 40 crowd... I am almost 50...

The clothes here r exceptional, although there r just a few pieces. However the store owner David is a pain to deal with. Despite having made purchases in the past, he still comes up to me every time I'm in the store and 'reminds' me that 'our clothes are expensive' and 'do I know the prices' so I'm not 'wasting time'. My husband who accompanied me recently was so off put by David that he didnt bother responding to the small talk David tried later (when he thought I would buy something). The assistant is actually very polite and intelligent. It is sad to see the owner David talking down to his assistant in front of clients. I only go to this boutique because the quality of Indian clothes in the GTA is horrendous!

My daughter's wedding was in September, and I wore a gorgeous, one-of-a-kind custom-made turquoise blue gown, trimmed with crystals and sequins. After spending months looking for the perfect gown (I live in NYC), I found what I was looking for at INDIVA, an amazing boutique in Toronto, Canada. This boutique has the finest collections of fashion designers in india. The service (Wendy & David, the owners) was warm and impressive, and I was made to feel very special.......especially on my daughter's big day. Thank you Indiva! I will definitely come back soon.

I couldn't believe the service we received at this store!! I was looking for a wedding dress and I went into this store and found a potential dress. The store owner kept on asking if I wanted to place a deposit but I declined. I went back a few days after my first visit with my friends and I wanted to try on another dress. He asked me if I was going to buy it? I told him that I have to try it on first. He then says to me that there will be a "fitting room charge" to try the dress on!! I asked him why he didn't charge me anything the last time I was there? He said it was because he thought I would buy the dress!!! So we left the store and I'm still in shock at how we were treated. I would give Indiva zero stars if that were an option!!
