join with award-winning Blyss Salon and will unite on August 1, 2012.
Rob Pizzuti, owner of EXIT Salon in Toronto, describes this as a
marriage of two masterful salons. “We got engaged last night, moving
in next week, and will be married soon,” he says.
EXIT Salon is home to many celebrity clients including former
Victoria’s Secret Supermodel Petra Nemcova, Canadian model Monika
Schnarre, Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson, actors Jacqueline Bissett,
Nina Dobrev, Tara Spencer Nairn, songstresses Kreesha Turner, Elise
Estrada and Eva Avila. Pizzuti has also been the recipient of several
Contessa colour awards while Blyss Salon was the 2003 Salon Team of
the Year winner and has been going strong ever since.
The marriage is surely a love match says Pizzuti. He has known the
owners of Blyss Salon, Angie Trovao and Lesley Kernan, for 15 years
and worked with them both previously.
After running a busy salon for nearly 10 years, Pizzuti says he was
looking to make some changes in his life. “My long-time partner Frank
and I want to adopt and joining together with Blyss Salon will make it
possible for me to spend more time with my family,” he says. “I’ve been
a colourist for 24 years now, owned my own salon for 10, and I’m proud
of what I’ve accomplished and excited to begin this next chapter in my
life.”
When asked why he wanted to join with Blyss Salon, who has been in
Yorkville for 12 years, Pizzuti says he respects their work, skill, and
business model and thinks that clients will now get the best of the best.
We want to share this news with everyone. This new team will be a force
Yorkville has never seen!”
As of August 1, 2012, five of EXIT Salon’s best hairdressers will be
behind the chair at Blyss Salon. They include Rob Pizzuti, Patty Tzoidis,
Erica Stone, Carla McAuliffe and Jan Vandenbroeck.
