Becker's BridalsBecker's Bridals is the oldest studio in Toronto. They've been outfitting blushing brides since the 1940s. Having weathered post-war scarcity, polyester and the 80s, Becker's staff knows how to get you through your big day in style. Dresses range from $700-$4500 at their main location, and average $750 at The Dressroom, their nearby second store.

I had a lousy experience here.

When I walked in, the sales girl promptly told me "we don't serve plus size bridal". That stunned me as I am a size 10. Not tiny, but definitely not a plus size. I decided to stay, but was really put off as she put me into gown after gown that was around a size 18 probably and exclaimed that I looked beautiful in these over sized monstrosities. I walked out after about five of these dresses.

So yeah... not a big fan.

Very dissapointed with the salespeople and the service. My dress order was not placed until 7 days after our appointment. The maides dresses took 5 and a half months to come to Canada. The wrong dress was ordered for the MOH.

All in all I would say AVOID BECKERS if you want a problem free experience.

I have a great experience. After going to a dozen bridal stores and finding nothing like I really wanted I was about to settle for a the best thing I had found. Than I walk into Becker's to find nearly the exact dress I had been describing on a mannequin. I didn't have an appointment but they fit me in. The sales person was sweet and took the dress down for me right away. I was thrilled and ordered the dress. I also liked the bonus of 10% off if you get it altered outside the store. My dress needed minor things done so I opted for that and I took it to a seamstress I'd known and spent less than what I save on the dress.

I was thrilled with my experience and found out after the fact that my mother-law got her dress the too for her wedding.

Horrible experience. I bought a great dress but they were completely unaccountable for their alterations. I paid $500 for alterations which they did poorly. They pretty much ruined my dress and refused to do anything to fix the situation. The owners, salesclerks, and tailor were entirely rude to us.

Purchased my dress from here but my overall experience was horrible. The staff were rude and made us feel very uncomfortable. Staff were not welcoming (almost hostile) and seemed annoyed when we asked them questions. One staff member even rolled her eyes and shook her head in a demeaning manner when we asked for clarification around their alterations policy. My mom tried to ask a question and was made to feel like she was stupid for asking a relevant question. Our sales staff was inexperienced and made us feel like we were not worth her time simply because we opted to browse the off the rack section. Although I did get a beautiful dress, all I will never forget the awful way we were treated.

I had the same experience as Laura. I am a size 10 and they kept saying their samples wouldn't fit me and they would go look for their "large samples" in the back. It was a horrible feeling and I haven't had this problem in any other store I've gone to. They are also extremely pushy and its a very crowded environment. Go to Ferre Sposa, Felechia, Sash and Bustle or Jealous Bridesmaid's for a good selection of mid priced dresses and MUCH better service.

WOW Thanks ladies i guess 1/6 good comments isnt great, I heard of this place and was about to drive 3 hrs !!! So glade I found these comments before.

I must say reading the reviews here shocked me. I just recently purchased the gown of my dreams and had wonderful service. I even found my dress in the back "sale" room. I am a size 4-6 street size. Wonderful experience! The sales lady seemed to know EXACTLY what would look good on me.

We asked about alterations but Beckers advised they dont actually handle alterations.
