On December 5, the Toronto Symphony Orchestra welcomes Italy’s Turin Royal Theatre (Teatro Regio Torino) for an exceptional concert production of Rossini’s final opera, William Tell. Guest conductor Gianandrea Noseda—a TSO favourite—is at the helm of the full Turin Royal Theatre Orchestra and Chorus. A remarkable cast of soloists, including baritone Luca Salsi in the title-role, tenor Enea Scala (pictured) and soprano Angela Meade, bring this inspiring historical drama to Toronto audiences for one performance only.
