For its 11th year, Whisky Live brings its best show ever to the luxurious Fairmont Royal York, across from Union Station. Canada’s biggest celebration of all things whisky returns to Toronto on Saturday, October 22, 2016, with a large and diverse array of whisky exhibitors, a fantastic line-up of whisky writers and a phenomenal VIP package. A delicious full dinner buffet catered by the Royal York, live entertainment and, of course, tastings of some of the best single malts and other whiskies are all included in the general admission price.

The new Authors Row offers the opportunity to chat with, and check out the books from five of the top whisky writers including: Davin deKergommeaux, Canadian Whisky: The Portable Expert; Mark Bylok, The Whisky Cabinet; Adam McDowell, Drinks: A User’s Guide, Christine Sismondo, Mondo Cocktail: A Shaken and Stirred History and America Walks Into A Bar; Fred Minnick, Bourbon: The Rise, Fall & Rebirth of An American Whiskey.

For a small additional cost, the master classes (45 minute tutored tastings) allow up to 36 people to learn from and ask questions of the leading experts and brand ambassadors.

New to this year’s VIP package experience is a first time ever cut crystal Glencairn glass and a private VIP area that opens from 6:00pm to 9:00pm, allowing VIPs three hours to taste a broad selection of select premium and limited edition whiskies. Sponsored by Via Allegro Ristorante, the VIP area also offers tasty whisky pairings with cheese and chocolates.
