Wednesday Likes To Get Drunk And Listen To Great Music, Which Is Something Wednesday Has In Common With Iain Gerrard

Wednesday, like everything and everyone else, won't be around forever. But while it's here, it likes to hang out with great people and listen to great music and create fond memories, even if it doesn't always keep those memories for very long.

At its heart, Wednesday - and raving in general - is about bringing people together who appreciate music and conversation and the joys and tragedies of life, people who can appreciate sharing those things with one another.

You might say that life itself is largely about the same thing.

While our community may be smaller now,the spirit at the heart of it - while saddened and subdued - remains vibrant. It is more than any one person; it is all of us together, taking part while we can and while we wish to.

So on Wednesday the 23rd, let's join together and share an experience together in honour of someone with whom we shared so many others.

I intend to play the old hardcore sound that Iain loved so much, including a lot of his songs. The rest of the sets will be from some of his close friends; if you were close with Iain and feel it would be appropriate or cathartic to play, let me know. We can do short sets to let more people play. I've already contacted a couple of you.

Here's his SoundCloud: http://soundcloud.com/soundsystem91

The theme for the night is nostalgia, reminiscence, support, and compassion, but most of all, the theme is joy in the company of a group of people defined by love and life and enthusiasm.

Dress accordingly.
