David Mamet is one of the most celebrated playwrights in American Theatre today. He won the Pulitzer Prize in 1984 for his riveting drama Glengarry Glen Ross and has two Academy Award nominations for The Verdict and Wag the Dog. He is credited for his unique style of writing dubbed Mamet Speak now an often imitated style. His fast, clever and tense dialogue can be easy to detect but hard to master. In AMERICAN BUFFALO Mamet takes us on a fast paced trip into the world of three small time huslters looking to achieve the American dream through a poorly planned coin heist.
