UNESCO World Day for Audiovisual Heritage: The Lives of Others

To mark the UNESCO World Day for Audiovisual Heritage — an event which sees libraries, archives, and film institutions around the globe offering public screenings of treasures from their vaults to raise awareness of the need for film preservation and the conservation of our audiovisual heritage — we are proud to present this screening of a recently acquired 35mm print of Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck's Academy Award–winning The Lives of Others.

As a member of FIAF (the International Federation of Film Archives) and as part of our mission to transform the way people see the world, through film, TIFF actively acquires 35mm prints for purposes of both the preservation and the presentation of films in their original format.

This event is Free. Tickets are distributed at the venue two hours before the start of the event (1 ticket per person).
