Underground Rhythmics was created to help bridge the gap between mainstream music and what is considered "underground" in our city. There is incredible talent right here in Toronto and we're here to show you that you can have an awesome night by supporting our local musicians/djs and producers who deserve it very much.

NC-17

[Playaz. Viper. V.Formation. Symmetry]

NC-17 is an experienced DJ, promoter, producer and University educated film maker. Discovered by the legendary DJ Trace's imprint DSCI4 for the track Slug Path which garnered a lot of attention from some of the major players in Drum n Bass with a massive Dj Support by Andy C, DJ Hype & Ed Rush. Following this massive release on DSCI4, NC-17 went on to sign with various labels but wasn't until he got signed to Viper Recordings & Renegade Hardware where NC-17 got a lot of attention from the public & ever since then NC-17 has been plugging away with massive releases on many of the premier Drum n Bass labels. With big singles on State of Mind, MacII, and All Sorts.

In 2012 NC-17 started the label Grindhou5e Audio which features some of NC-17's own work but also signing tracks from such artists as The Upbeats, State of Mind, Smooth, Mr Explicit, Cabin Fever & Fade. With big dj support Grindhou5e is a label to watch for in the future.

DJ LUSH

[Inner City Dance. Channel One]

A true champion of the underground, Lush has always been respected as a highly influential tastemaker who takes risks breaking new music and setting musical trends, yet presenting it with a natural flare and understanding for making it work on the dance floor. This is probably due to his many years of standing in the middle of the crowd himself, taking in all the energy and sounds of the scene that he loves. His super technical rolling mixing style has been his trademark though out his career, winning over crowds and other DJs alike with his high energy puzzle piece mixing.

Today Lush remains a fixture behind the decks in Toronto, from big main room Drum n Bass festivals to hazy back rooms playing bottom heavy Garage and House, he approaches it all with the same enthusiasm and razor sharp precision, tailoring his style to fit whatever crowd is in front of him. He continues to press forward pushing his love of other tempos of Bass music through his role as a co founder and curator for the widely successful podcast station Channel One, and as the label manager for fast rising imprint Inner City Dance, which he owns in partnership with Toronto icon Marcus Visionary.

[Dub Hub Toronto. Rough Crew. Run Red]

Matt Love Hz Scanlan is a Toronto native and a long time member of its Drum & Bass community, having being involved with the scene since the late 1990s and partying through Torontos Golden Era of DnB. Over the last few years, his love for the music has taken him to the decks where he has quickly risen to play alongside some of the top talent Toronto is home and host to.

DAM'AGE

Raised just outside of Toronto, Dan Cameron has always had a love for music of all types and sounds. He's a product of Canadas renowned Harris Institute for Audio Production. Dan has a particular interest in Drum & Bass and has been honing his craft by producing smooth, soulful tunes.

SENRU

Senru Jeff Bai is a canadian based artist and DJ. Focused almost religiously on half-step beats and drum breaks, Senru was an active part in establishing Toronto's Nuts n Volts collective. Senru's EP 'Sirene' was released on Toronto's fiz-x records in 2011, and a live collaboration project 'rh/-' is being recorded for a 2014 release.
