Shahi Teruko

Shahi Teruko is an award winning singer, songwriter, and recording artist based out of Toronto, Canada. She has toured internationally and is one of the fastest rising names in Toronto's R&B;/Soul scene.

Born to a Guyanese family, Shahi’s passion for music was first influenced by listening to her grandmother sing hymns around the family home and by the age of 8, Shahi became the lead singer of her church’s choir. She later attended Wexford Collegiate School of The Arts where she majored in Musical Theatre, honing her skills in singing, acting and dancing.

It wasn't until her early twenties that Teruko took music seriously venturing into West Africa, Shahi immersed herself in the study of traditional African dance & music and toured throughout Mali & Guinea. In 2010, Shahi moved to New York City earning a living as a performing musician and dancer while continuing her studies of African Dance at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre. In 2011, Shahi returned to her home city, Toronto, where she worked with several dance companies (ijo vudu/ Lua Shayenne & Co.) and headlined many R&B; and Soul venues in the downtown core.

Shahi has also established herself in the theatre world as her credentials include starring roles in the following musicals: 'Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story' (Classical Theatre Project) and Deon Denton's hit musical, 'Piece Of Me' (Promise Productions). Shahi has also toured internationally with the Broadway production of 'Hair' (Classical Theatre Project).

Outside of the realm of theatre, Shahi has played with some of Toronto's most renowned musicians and bands including: Shamaka, Mike Ferfolia (Shugga), The Carolyn T Band and she can be seen regularly performing with The St. Royals and The Sugar Devils. She has performed on Toronto's City News, The TD Toronto Jazz Fest and Luminato: Toronto's Festival of Arts and Creativity. Shahi is currently working on her upcoming album (Release 2015).

Andreena

Maestro, lyrical scribe and songstress, Andreena Miller, is a musical powerhouse. She began her career at the young age of three after her father, also a musician, realized her musical potential. By 2001 she entered the world of female R&B; groups as a member of the Canadian trio, X-Quisite, alongside Melanie Fiona and Nicole Holness. The group earned nominations for the Canadian Urban Music Awards and Juno Awards in 2003. Later Andreena established a solo career, and after releasing her first mix-tape, Ready to Fly in 2009, she signed on as a writer for Universal Music Publishing in 2010.

Today, Andreena records, composes and produces, independently, collaborating with industry veterans such as DMX (Album: Undisputed “Cold World” & “No Love”); among others, she has worked with Drake (The Comeback Season, “Closer”), The Bizness (Chris Brown, “No Bullshit”), Brian Michael Cox (Mary J. Blige, “Be Without You”), James Fauntleroy (Jordin Sparks, “No Air”), Kevin McCall (Keri Hilson, “One Night Stand”, Chris Brown “Deuces”) and Needlz (Bruno Mars, “Just The Way You Are”). Her most recent EP, All Eyes on Me, was released in September 2012. Since then her fans have had the pleasure of listening to her latest single “Boss B**ch” off of her up and coming EP, Naked. Naked marks the re-birth of Andreena, formerly known as Andreena Mill, as the musical maven bares all, for more than just the cover of the EP. Now, with a new team, new brand and new music, the future looks promising for Andreena, as she just recently released her latest album, Naked in 2014.
