Give Me Something Beautiful Montreal: http://twimfest.com/artists/give-me-something-beautiful/ at 9 PM:

In a music scene as diverse and talented as Montreal's it is easy to be a band that doesn't get their due. Matthew Hills knows this better than most. His first band After the Weather were critically acclaimed but under appreciated and now Give Me Something Beautiful is making some of the best and most vital music anywhere right now. But have you heard it? If not, time to fix that!

Port of Call St. John's: http://twimfest.com/artists/port-of-call/ at 10 PM:

A treat from the Rock in Newfoundland's best two piece in Port of Call -- don't take my word for it they were voted as such in the local alt-monthly the Overcast. They also won last years Road to CMW competition ran out of St. John's. Now they are back! Beautiful is a word used too often in describing music but it is a word that can't be used enough to describe Port of Call.

Greg Halpin Montreal: http://twimfest.com/artists/greg-halpin/ at 11 PM:

You probably know Greg Halpin from Honheehonhee who were one of the best bands to ever play a TWM showcase. Perhaps you know him from Lakes of Canada who might be the best band in Quebec right now. Or maybe you just know his beard? Because that is a thing of legend. But in between all of that Greg has been working on a solo project. There isn't much online yet but the pedigree is something I trust completely.

Paul Sheppard St. John's/Guelph: http://twimfest.com/artists/paul-sheppard/ at 12 AM:

Met Paul working/putting on shows in St. John's and quickly became a huge fan of his band Navigator Black & the Indighost. His solo stuff is starkly different. A self described "tearjerking asshole" who's raw experimental folk style will warm your heart and then break it.

Jeremy Murphy Band Montreal/Portland: http://twimfest.com/artists/jeremy-murphy-band/ at 1 AM:

Jeremy Murphy has been playing music most of his life and that has brought him from Newfoundland to Toronto to Portland and now Montreal. The record he is currently playing in support of was written/recorded in Portland but his current band is playing out of Montreal. Listening to Some Form of Afterthought you can feel all of this experience manifesting itself in an excellent folk record. Great way to cap the night!
