Friends, we need to stand up for the rights of trans people. I just got off of the phone with my friend Shadmith Manzo about her experience with the Scarborough passport office. Ms. Manzo was denied the right to change her passport from male to female, even with legal documentation from her doctor. The manager's transphobic response was "any guy with a dress and beard can get this letter from a doctor, the answer is no." My poor friend Shadmith was in tears. And so, I ask that we unite and stand for our rights as women.

Please take action by calling the passport office in Scarborough, ON and ask to speak to the manager at 1800567-6868.

I am also trying to get people to come with me to the passport office in Scarborough next week to protest this disgusting practice. Please come support the rights of all transpeople in Canada.
