Toronto Mendelssohn Choir: Sacred Music for a Sacred Space

Enjoy the glories of French composers Maurice Duruflé and Louis Vierne in a concert of music for chorus and organ. Duruflé’s Requiem, based on the Gregorian plainchant Mass for the Dead, focuses on the ideas of peace, faith and hope. The dramatic dialogue between chorus and organ in Vierne’s Messe Solennelle is at times majestic, prayerful and exulting.
