Happy 2015 from your friendly neighbourhood CanBPA!

Were kicking off our events for the year with everybodys favourite, the covers panelor, This is a Terrible Cover. I did it.

On March 30th 2015, at the Monarch Tavern 12 Clinton Street, a panel of publishing luminaries will gather, drinks in hand, to analyze, dissect, and possibly eviscerate some of 2014s greatest, worst, and most outright baffling book covers from Canada and around the world.

Between now and the night in question, we will be crowd-sourcing ideas for book covers to be discussed by our esteemed panel of industry experts. This years panel is made up of such fine folks as designers David Gee, Michel Vrana, and Natalie Olsen, as well as Emily Keeler from the National Post and Nathan Maharaj from Kobo. The catch for: to be eligible, a suggested book must have been published within the calendar year 2014 reissues are acceptable. There will be a small charge for the event: $5 for students and interns, $10 for non-students.
