The Thing About Objects is an intense commitment to interdisciplinary investigations of the relationships between humans and the objects that populate our everyday existence. The third and final The Thing About Objects invites you to explore with us the what and how of our relationship to objects: from the seemingly banal to the emotionally profound. Through photography, performance art, drag, and storytelling, we will engage with objects as familial artefact, as domestic hoard, as personal identity.

Thursday 26 November 2015, in the upstairs venue at the High Park Club, we give objects centre stage.

Doors open at 7:30 pm

Performances begin promptly at 8:00pm

$10 at the door

Cash bar NOTE: you actually need cash objects to procure liquid objects from the bar. There is no ATM object onsite.

With artists Laurence Butet-Roch, Shannon Cochrane, Drag King Flare, Francesco Gagliardi, Katie Hood, and Marta Iwanek.

Note: the High Park Club an awesome TO heritage building -- with lots of parking is at 100 Indian Road, south of High Park Blvd, tucked cozily between houses on a residential street. Walkable for Westenders.

For those coming from more Easterly locations, via TTC:

1 506 College streetcar -- get off at Indian Road and walk South.

2 505 Dundas streetcar -- get off at Morrow Ave/Howard Park, walk one block west to Roncesvalles, then head south on Roncesvalles to Garden Ave; walk west to Indian Road.

3 504 King streetcar coming up North on Roncesvalles -- get off at Garden Ave.

4 Dundas West subway station: walk south to Garden Ave or take 504 King streetcar south to Garden Ave.
