The Silk Road Ensemble with Yo-Yo Ma
Few musicians reflect today’s world quite as elegantly as the performers and composers of the Silk Road Ensemble. Formed by celebrated cellist Yo-Yo Ma in 2000, the ensemble draws on talent from more than 20 countries, and inspiration from instruments as varied as the Chinese pipa (lute), Galician gaita (bagpipe) and Indian tabla (paired drums).
