Some of Canada's best loved standup comedians return to the Revue Cinema

for a live show Thursday, October 9, at 9pm, to help celebrate a recent grant awarded to the cinema.

After a successful show in 2011, the original gang is back together, including some new/old faces, for a night of fun and frivolity.

Hosted once again by Carolyn Bennett (not the MP, but CBC COMICS), with Tony Krolo (CBC COMICS), the evening features sets by Alan Park (Air Farce), Kevin MacDonald (not Kevin McDonald, but darn close), Jim McAleese (Murdoch Mystery favourite!), George Westerholm (writer, Rick Mercer Report), and Winston Spear (Murdoch Mystery corpse favourite!) Short comedy videos made by the gang, along with comedic dance, ensures another great celebration of all that is the Revue.

The Revue Cinema has recently received an additional grant from the

Ontario Trillium Foundation, to renovate and refurbish the historic movie house. This will ensure the cinema stays an independent, non-profit community cinema, run by volunteers and a small staff.
