Launched in 2012, the Honeybee Project at MaRS is an employee driven initiative, where members care for 5 hives located on the roof of 101 College Street.

With your help, we will purchase equipment and supplies, continue to expand the project, and our ability to share the knowledge with others.

The Honeybee Project at MaRS aims to provide learning on the decline of honeybee populations worldwide. Our project raises awareness locally, about how this crisis impacts people and industries in Canada and beyond. By participating in a local, urban beekeeping initiative, members contribute towards solving a massive environmental problem in their own small way through day-to-day activities.
