Summer Market Party at The Farm Lot

The Farm Lot began as a joint initiative of Fresh City, TAS, and the Detox Market. It was created with the aim of promoting city farming. The idea first arose when Fresh City founder Ran Goel met TAS president and CEO Mayzar Mortazavi at The Green Living Show. TAS had some property on King Street West with future plans for development, but in the meantime both men thought that an urban garden would be a great use of the space.

The Farm Lot has transformed an otherwise empty piece of land into a welcoming green space downtown. By planting a garden in the heart of Toronto, our goal is to remind people about the myriad possibilities that exist to grow food in the city. This year we are joined by Berryfresh Fruit Co., a local company specializing in berries sourced from Ontario family farms. Berryfresh Fruit Co. will be selling their local produce all summer long at The Farm Lot.

To celebrate its second season, we are hosting a Summer Market Party on Tuesday, July 15th from 6-9p.m at The Farm Lot (369 King Street West). The space will be filled with local makers selling delicious products, and Indie Alehouse will be serving up their refreshing local brews. Join us!

Vendors will include:

- Berryfresh Fruit Co. with deliciously local berries

- Cookie Martinez selling ice cream sandwiches!

- Herbal Infusions Tea Co. with draught kombucha

- Indie Alehouse selling their locally brewed beer

- Shockingly Healthy with vegan and gluten-free baked goods

- Soup Girl with local vegetarian soups

- Sweet Woodruff selling flower bouquets and terrariums
