Steam Whistle UNSIGNED ft. Dilly Dally, Teenanger and Most People

On April 17th, Steam Whistle Brewing’s UNSIGNED music concert series takes over the Roundhouse, with the punk offerings of Toronto’s Dilly Dally and Teenanger, and the synth-indie sounds of Most People. Tickets are only $5 at the door (doors open at 8 p.m) with proceeds going to support The Artists Health Alliance.

Most People, the Toronto-duo made up of Brandon Gibson-DeGroote and Paul McEachern, open-up the night with a sound reminiscent of a different era. Their masterfully crafted synths sounds and interludes captivate the audience and sends them on a journey. This trance is broken with the change of pace and grimy rock and roll punk sounds of Toronto’s Teenanger. Once described as “ probably the best Canadian rock record since CPC Gangbangs let Mutilation Nation loose in 2007” the raging rhythms and riffs penetrate the eardrums and draw out any pent-up aggression. The end of the night will climax with Dilly Dally’s hauntingly poetic vocals emitting a passion that many have lost or stowed away. Their epic grunge-pop sends a burst of energy leaving the crowd remembering why punk rock and roll shows are never forgotten.

Steam Whistle’s UNSIGNED concert series is known for brewing up some of Toronto’s most diverse independent artists. Now in its ninth year, Steam Whistle UNSIGNED has raised over $75,000 for charity and featured over 100 independent acts. Past artists include The Rural Alberta Advantage, Austra, The Darcys, Young Empires, Rich Aucoin, Tasha the Amazon, Young Guv, Odonnis Odonnis, Fresh Snow, HSY, Parallels, OBGM’s, Hooded Fan and Brendan Philip.
