Led by Mason Victoria, The SONUSKAPOS JAZZ ORCHESTRA (SSJO) is an 18 piece big band with some of the finest youth jazz musicians in the GTA. Many of the members of the SSJO the SSJO aims to inspire the youth through all-original compositions and arrangements, as well as strives to push the limits of contemporary big band. The SSJO has performed in multiple iconic venues in the GTA, including The Rex Hotel Jazz & Blues Bar, the Lula Lounge, Gallery345, Placebo Space and Musideum.

Mason Victoria (20) is an avid composer and arranger, as well as a trumpet performance student currently attending at Humber College. Mason has studied with many important Canadian jazz role models such as Alastair Kay, Brian O'Kane, Dave Dunlop, Steve Crowe, Jim Lewis and Kevin Turcotte. Mason has also studied with composers such as Daniel Jamieson (DANJAM ORCHESTRA) and John Macleod (REX JAZZ ORCHESTRA), as well has had pieces performed by bands led by Josh Grossman (TORONTO JAZZ ORCHESTRA) and choirs led by Dallas Bergen (UNIVOX CHOIR). Mason is also a diligent transcriber, most notably for The first recipient of the Prix Goyer (Extreme Emerging Artist) Canada's largest prize for an emerging artist in classical music, pianist, Philip Chiu.
