It's that time again!

In honour of National Poetry Month, we invite you to join us for an evening of celebrating the poetry we love, the poetry we love to hate, and, of course, delicious beverages.

The concept of Poetry Karaoke is simple:

1 Choose a poem that someone else wrote and that you can read in less than five minutes.

2 Bring a copy, or, if you insist on being modern, bookmark one on your phone

3 Put your name in the poetry hat

4 When your name is drawn, recite your poem for all to enjoy

5 Have some drinks, see some smiling faces, maybe heckle a bit.

We'll also have a few collections on hand for those of you who are feeling spontaneous.

Okay, last year the phone thing led to some pretty great OKCupid-messages-as-poetry, so we won't hate.

It's all happening at Kensington Lodge 21 Kensington Avenue which you may remember as the charming venue that hosted us last year. There's no cover charge, though as usual we will be collecting small donations from readers and shy bystanders who like supporting the CanBPA.
