SILENT SHOUT: HEAT AND THE PULSE DAY 1: ZOO OWL DAY 2: KEN PARK

Two days of music in summertime! We're presenting two of our favourite artists, Ken Park and Zoo Owl, on two momentous occasions, the releases of their debut albums. Gonna be the best cheap fun, let's celebrate the release of two of the finest Toronto albums of the year, plus a Chinese buffet, yep!

DAY 1 - July 17

Zoo OWL album release

-- The begoggled electronic forest creature is releasing his debut album HOLLOW and it's brilliant. Dark electronic grooves, alternately frantic and transcendent. His live show is full of lights and spectacle and we're in for a very special performance. Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?vzvleJdA3VA

Sexy Merlin

-- You already know he's one of the best live acts in the city. He's played with everyone, opened for everyone, and is practically the patron saint of percussion: https://soundcloud.com/polyphasicstudios/sexy-merlin-heater

KEN PARK album release

-- Berlin's loss is our gain. Ken Park, formerly of Ostrich Tuning, often live member of Phedre and Hooded Fang, is putting out his debut album "You Think About It To Much" on Daps Records and it VERY MUCH lives up to the promise of his incredible live shows. CASTLE IF

-- she's opened for Mozart's Sister and Julianna Barwick, and just played a Muay Thai boxing studio with the Ketamines at All Toronto's Parties. This jam is old, but gives you an idea of how good: http://castleif.bandcamp.com/track/nineteen-seventy-seven
