Since 1997, Applefun Puppetry has been performing its hilarious brand of entertainment throughout Ontario. Whether it's a birthday party or an annual company event, Applefun will be there to make sure the kids are having fun.

In addition to hundreds of birthday parties, Applefun Puppetry has performed for companies like AT&T;, Black Creek Pioneer Village, and Ikea.

Rafifkana Dhafathi Padmonojati

2:30 – 2:45 pm – The Dewa Ruci - Traditional Indonesian Shadow Puppetry – Wayang Kullit

The Dewa Ruci is an original Javanese story, describing the harmonious relationship between servant and Lord, represented by Bima (one of Pandawa’s family) and Dewa Ruci. Bima is the hero of the great Hindu epic The Mahabharata.

Rafi has been performing in and around Toronto since he was three years old. He is a multi-talented performer experienced in Wayang Kulit (traditional Indonesian Shadow Puppetry), Gamelan and traditional Indonesian dance. He not only performs traditional Indonesian Wayang Kulit tales but also writes his own stories.

About Puppet Allsorts

The Toronto Puppetry Collective came into being in 2012 to create a performance series dedicated to the puppetry arts. The mandate of the collective is to provide an opportunity for audiences to see diverse forms of puppetry on a regular basis and to foster community for those many professional performers and puppet builders currently working in isolation in Ontario. The Collective’s long-term vision is to produce an international puppet festival in Toronto.
