PULP: paper art party 2014
Ever partied in a room made of paper?
PULP: paper art party 2014 is an evening combining installation art with live music. The event will feature The Lemon Bucket Orkestra, the worlds only Balkan-Klezmer-Gypsy-Party-Punk-Super Band. Also playing are DMDP and DJ mochi.
This year, we are donating funds and volunteer work to refurbish Street Haven at the Crossroads, a downtown emergency womens shelter.
Over 25 artists and designers have submitted proposals to build installations and furniture out of reclaimed material and create a paper playground in The Great Hall. There will be large-scale paper weaves, a paper chandelier, and a surprising new take on paper cup telephones. The Giant Interactive Comic Book, a crowd favorite from last years event, is also coming back with a new graphic tale guests can complete themselves. This years party will include featured designs by Artist Badanna Zack, ArupDiamond Schmitt Architects, and Lynch and Comisso Architecture and Light.
A wide range of alcoholic and soft beverages will be available for guests at The Great Halls cash bar. This is a 19 event.
