Pop-up dinner with chef Yong Soo Do and chef Chris Jang

Following a very successful pop-up in 2013, chefs Chris Jang (sous chef at Linda Modern Thai) and Yong Soo Do (former sous chef at Buca) will reunite to do a pop-up on September 30th at Linda Modern Thai. Chris and Yong will prepare a multi-course tasting menu combining their experience with Korean, Thai, Italian, French, Chinese and Canadian cuisines, supported by Linda Modern Thai’s executive chef, Wing Li.

Chris Jang joined Linda Modern Thai in 2013 as sous chef, working with executive chef, Wing Li, to grow and develop the concept of modern Thai food. Previously, Chris was the head chef at A-OK, where his strengths in contemporary and Asian flavours brought handmade ramen and new dishes such as KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) chicken wings and Szechuan cold noodles to Toronto.

After working as Sous Chef at Buca, Yong Soo Do decided to expand his culinary horizons in 2014 by moving to Hong Kong to cook and travel. He returns to Toronto for a short break and to cook with Chris for one night at Linda Modern Thai.
