...fueled by impetuous lust for understanding, Whale Eye tells the tale of a journey gone awry and the challenges a man faces in the quest for ultimate happiness.

KEY BALLAH

...is a Mtis and West Indian self-proclaimed "sensitive brown girl poet" based out of Toronto. She is also a sister, daughter, friend, Muslimah, hip hop enthusiast and perpetual student, studying Women's and Gender Studies at York University with a special interest anti racist feminism specifically in regards to immigrant and refugee women's right and access to healthcare. She is involved in writing workshops around the city working with young, self-identified women of colour develop their creative voice through writing - as well as Muslim Women's advocacy projects, geared towards moving conversations away from the veil and towards more relevant issues affecting Muslim women in the west today. Besides that, she's a Dragon Ball Z groupie and a non-PETA-supporting vegan, who vibes to Slum Village like they're going out of style. Her first collection of poetry, "Preparing My Daughter For Rain" is currently available on Amazon.

KATARINA MCKE yes, with the umlauts

...is what do you get when you mix Eastern European alcoholism with German engineering. Having done nothing really of value in the literary world not even able to construct a proper sentence most days, she brings a genuine love for performance art and the raw spirit of 70s punk music with her. Come by and see what shit she brings to the table and, in most cases, prepare to leave angry.

NICK MCKINLAY

...is a pop-punk enthusiast & UofT dropout from Sarnia, Ontario. He runs a reading/open mic/sometimes zine event once a month at The Ossington called "the Sophisticated Boom- Boom" He also does sketch comedy with The Reception & records songs under the name Nick Doubleyou. He's never been published, but hopes to one day; at least maybe be published-ished. This is basically his first outrageous.
