"With this body of work, I am honouring the stories of those who have come before. The everyday heroes. Their silent journeys and triumphs. Their tireless work. Their hopes, dreams and the promise of making their lives better. All of the stories are now lost and forgotten. What remains are the marks they left while here.

Through abstracted layers of thought, excavation and exploration, I am creating a physical, hand-made object incorporating the sculptural properties of the encaustic medium. My intent is to capture remnant evidences of past lives, and offer vision and hope of what might continue on in our own stories today."
