Open Roof Festival

Toronto fans of indie film and music will get another chance to watch their favourite stars under the stars, as the Open Roof Festival (ORF) continues for its fifth season, running weekly from June 19 through to August 21.

Meet the darling of Sundance and SXSW, Frank, a quirky comedy by Irish director Lenny Abrahamson about Jon, a young wannabe musician. Jon discovers he's bitten off more than he can chew when he joins a band of eccentric pop musicians led by the mysterious and enigmatic title character, played by Michael Fassbender, in a role unlike any he has played before. Plus, once a duo, then a trio, now a duo, Catl. is a stripped down, gruesome-twosome ready to serve up blues for the ORF crowd.

The evening’s custom menu crafted by 99 Sudbury’s in-house chefs echoes the automobile setting of the film with a “Drive-Thru” spin. Plus, a diverse selection of food items from Cool City Oyster Yard, and beers from ORF’s long-standing partner Amsterdam Brewery.
