Open Roof Festival

Toronto fans of indie film and music will get another chance to watch their favourite stars under the stars, as the Open Roof Festival (ORF) continues for its fifth season, running weekly from June 19 through to August 21.

The third event of this year’s Festival is a night made for wordsmiths. Fresh off the release of her debut album, Books, Bucks & Beats Vol. 1: Holla At A Schola, 24 year-old Toronto native pHoenix Pagliacci, will bring her unique blend of hip-hop to the ORF. Once the sun sets, Arrested Development alum Jason Bateman will showcase his own verbal skills, as a 40-year-old who hijacks an 8th grade spelling bee, in his comedic directorial debut Bad Words.

The evening’s custom menu crafted by 99 Sudbury’s in-house chefs echoes the school setting of the film with a unique spin on a cafeteria food fight.Plus, a diverse selection of food items from Cool City Oyster Yard, and beers from ORF’s long-standing partner Amsterdam Brewery.
