NOW Free Flick Mondays: Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World

NOW Magazine and The Royal Cinema invite you to our 100 free monthly film series - NOW Free Flick Mondays.

Our first screening of 2016 will be the Toronto based comedy Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World!

As bass guitarist for a garage-rock band, Scott Pilgrim Michael Cera has never had trouble getting a girlfriend; usually, the problem is getting rid of them. But when Ramona Flowers Mary Elizabeth Winstead skates into his heart, he finds she has the most troublesome baggage of all: an army of evil ex's who will stop at nothing to eliminate him from her list of suitors.

Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World is based on the graphic novel series "Scott Pilgrim" by Bryan Lee O'Malley. O'Malley was inspired to create the series and eponymous character of Scott Pilgrim after listening to NOW music editor Carla Gillis's Canadian band Plumtree's 1998 single "Scott Pilgrim", a song then-Plumtree singer Carla Gillis describes as "positive, but...also bitter sweet."

Tickets are FREE! Available at the cinema when doors open at 6:30 PM first come, first serve. The first 100 guests will be treated to a free popcorn courtesy of The Royal Cinema.

See you there!
