NEVER NO MORE!
Never No More! is a idiosyncratic fusion of world music, jazz and improvised music. Their music is colorful, epic and powerful, and is based around the music of the Aegean region, especially Greek rebetiko. The band came together as an extension of the power trio Alaniaris, led by Michael Kaler, with expanded arrangements written by composer/trombonist Scott Good. The band played their debut show at the X Avant Festival in 2014, and were funded by the Ontario Arts Council to record a demo shortly afterward. In the process of recording, Never No More! came into its own as a unique musical entity, and the six members decided that this was a musical direction well worth pursuing.
