The Blackbird

It’s the story of a bird that loses first its neck, then its eye, back, wings and feet in turn before they return again, but this time doubled or tripled in number. The bird then dances to the sound of an old folk song (Mon merle) performed by the Trio lyrique. The filmmaker used simple cardboard cut-outs in geometric shapes to illustrate this traditional folk song.

Tchou Tchou

A children's fantasy where building blocks and music effects do everything. Blocks represent the make-believe city and the two children –a boy and a girl– who play in it. Blocks even act out the story when an angry dragon appears on the scene, while music scores the action. What to do about the dragon? With different tricks, the children manage to shift the dragon from enemy to partner. Silent animation.

Cuckoo, M. Edgar!

This charming and amusing animated short for young children offers a timely lesson about the joys of fatherly love. Mr. Edgar's life runs like clockwork - which is not surprising since he's a cuckoo in a cuckoo clock. Not only is he very punctual, he is also compulsively neat and tidy. But one stormy evening, his little world is turned upside down. A branch hit by lightning falls to the ground, dislodging a nest, and three eggs plop uninvited into Mr. Edgar's living room. In no time at all, they hatch into a trio of rambunctious baby birds. It's a crash course in fatherhood for our confirmed bachelor. The hungry little birds take up all his time and attention... but eventually worm their way into his affections.

I want a dog

Animated short movie, based on the children’s book of the same title by Dayal Kaur Khalsa. It tells the story of a girl named May who wants more than anything to have a dog. She tries various strategies to get her parents to allow her one, but they keep answering “when you will be older”. In the end she wins her desire by remembering an old paternal advice.
