Mindfest

Let’s stop mental health stigma together! Join us for the 4th annual Mindfest - an all-day mental health and wellness fair, taking place on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 as part of National Mental Illness Awareness Week.

Mindfest aims to raise awareness about mental health, highlight the support systems available to those who need them, and strives to erase mental health stigma. Mindfest has fun exhibit booths, mental health community organization representatives, workshops, guest speakers, stand-up comedy, yoga and other interactive activities. The event is free and open to the public – attendees are able to pick and choose from many different programs and workshops to learn more about mental health and mental illness.

Mindfest is a full-day event held at the Hart House, in collaboration with U of T Student Health and Wellness, Hart House, Workman Arts, Ryerson, York and OCAD Universities as well as several community mental health organizations.

Some of this year’s speakers include:

• Camilla Gibb

• Emily Wright

• Robert Biron

• Bruce Ballon

• Jesse Bigelow

• Marshall Korenblum

Planned activities include exhibit booths, interactive workshops and guest speakers. To wrap up the day, join us for the Mindfest Mindfulness Walk through Downtown Toronto, where we’ll stop at Ryerson University for our Mindfest finale party! Join us in the evening for entertainment, food, exhibits and more!
