For the last few years, we here at Milk Glass have been so thrilled and grateful to be able to present many art shows and events where local artists and designers have had an opportunity to showcase their work. As an artist-run space, our mission is to provide local emerging talents with a space to create and share art and ideas in our community.

From an art show in support of CAMH, to Toronto Offsite Design Festival showcases, to a Ryerson student documentary showcase, to pop-up shops, to after school talks featuring speakers such as David Miller and Dorion Sagan, we are a space with diverse opportunities from which artists may benefit. We function primarily as a canvas for creative minds to use for functions and events in order to generate interest and appeal in our growing creative community.

We hope to keep working with and supporting our local art community to help cultivate our City's art scene, but we need your HELP!

In the last year, we have obtained a liquor license which has been an essential tool in order to let us continue to grow and support ourselves. It has provided added opportunities for hosting events and covering costs on maintaining the gallery, but with it also comes more complications. Recently we have run into a string of unfortunate events; a break and enter, frozen burst pipes, repairs, and legal fees.

This has put a large financial strain on our small business all at once. With all these pressures it has been hard to maintain the space and keep it open and available.

We would like to be able to continue to provide Toronto and its local arts and music community with a venue and environment to share and bring many more performances, art openings, pop-up shops, lectures, workshops, DJ events, and craft nights.

In order to do so, we are having a 3 Day Fundraiser from January 30th to February 1st.

The first day, Friday January 30th at 7pm will be a SILENT AUCTION selling one-of-a-kind artist made wares followed by a cocktail reception.

A group of talented artists and designers have generously offered to donate work in support of Milk Glass. Proceeds will be used to keep our space running so that our welcoming art gallery may continue to bring cultural events to our neighbourhood.

Art, design, and jewelry will be auctioned off between 7pm and 9pm,
