Last year Mighty Real caused a sensation when we teamed up with the House of Nuance to throw a legendary ball at the Wrongbar. Who could forget the frenzied hair whipping of Mary Messhausen or the tight gold lame short shorts of future Mighty Real door person Matt Crans. Battles were had, face was given, and trophies were won. A match was made in heaven as Toronto’s ball scene joined forces with the Mighty Real crew.
This year we re-live the magic and the majesty at the ROUND club in Kensington Market. In collaboration with Father Titus Nuance, Mighty Real presents...THE HOT BOX BALL.
What was I just talking about? Oh YEAH…the HOT BOX BALL! This year’s THC themed event promises higher competition, greener runway virgins and outfits tailored tighter than hemp rope. Smoke gets in your eyes and your hair as Toronto’s fiercest burn up the floor. Ganja glamour is in full effect. Tell us bluntly how beautiful you are.
Legendary Mighty Real residents John Caffery and The Robotic Kid bring you that trippy disco house sound that is their signature. Special guest and local veteran DJ Charmed Monroe (aka Blackcat) bogarts the joint for the ball portion of the evening. Mother TKO Monroe rolls out the commentary on the microphone.
